  • CASSANDRA - REGICOR Regional projection of 10-year coronary events

The CASSANDRA-REGICOR system allows estimation of the number of coronary events in a population within 10 years using projections based on population studies in Catalonia. The estimates apply the anticipated demographic changes, the initial prevalence of cardiovascular risk factors, and the 10-year changes anticipated over those 10 years for Girona, Catalonia and Spain. The estimates can be done for other areas under certain conditions.

This system has been developed jointly with the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya as a project to define the objectives of the Health Plan and the Directive Plan for Diseases of the Circulatory System.
